MWC19: Managing drone fleets from the mobile edge

This simulation from InterDigital showed how an edge platform might be used to take telemetry from drones and use it to control the flight paths of drones in real time, to avoid collisions. It’s important, obviously, that drones are in coverage the whole time, so radio resources can be programmed in as part of flight path info. The next step, InterDigital says, is to take the technology to a live test bed, to trial the use case in the physical world.
