JULIA C. MATTIS has over two decades of experience in the IP industry. Since she joined InterDigital in February 2010, she has served in senior roles in the legal and licensing teams, including Chief Licensing Counsel and, most recently, as Head of Smartphone Licensing, where she oversaw InterDigital’s largest licensing program. Throughout her career at InterDigital, she has been responsible for closing license agreements with some of the world’s leading smartphone and consumer electronics manufacturers. Ms. Mattis began her legal career in private practice at McGuireWoods before moving to Troutman Pepper Locke. She worked in the intellectual property groups of both firms, focusing on IP transactions, related commercial and M&A transactions, and trademark prosecution. Ms. Mattis holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Richmond School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from James Madison University.
