RAJESH PANKAJ is InterDigital’s EVP, Chief Technology Officer. In this role, he is responsible for leading the company’s technology vision and strategy and advancing the company’s technology roadmaps. Dr. Pankaj works closely with other executives to partner with internal R&I efforts, external investments and corporate development in executing the company’s technology vision.

Dr. Rajesh Pankaj is an inventor and a technology executive with deep expertise in wireless research in 3G, 4G and 5G and in power efficient AI/ML. He joined InterDigital in July 2022 from Qualcomm where he oversaw research in 5G, 4G LTE, augmented reality and other technologies, contributing to an industry-leading wireless and mobile computing patent portfolio. During his 25-year tenure, Dr. Pankaj most recently served as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Head of Corporate R&D, managing a global team of engineers focused on artificial intelligence, edge computing and new technologies.

A prolific innovator, Dr. Pankaj is an inventor or co-inventor on 230 patents worldwide.

Dr. Pankaj holds a Ph.D. and a master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree of technology in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
