<p>Dr. Yuriy Reznik, a Director of InterDigital&rsquo;s CTO office, discussed the company&rsquo;s ground breaking technologies on using cross-layer optimization for video over wireless, including techniques using information about user and user viewing conditions&nbsp;in the optimization process. &nbsp; The unique combination of inherent wireless-aware video processing and video-aware wireless design yields compelling improvements in picture quality, bandwidth consumption, power, delivery cost and real-time performance.</p>
<p>Video over wireless continues to represent a growing portion of all data traffic going forward, worsening congestion of wireless networks.&nbsp; While operators are experimenting with different business models and expanding network capacity there&rsquo;s an emerging ecosystem of companies providing video transcoding, caching, and analytics solutions for delivery of video over wireless.</p>
<p>During the Mobile Video Optimization Conference in Brussels, Belgium, June 12-13, 2012, Dr. Reznik&rsquo;s talk generated stimulating discussions and several companies companies and industry analysts complimented InterDigital for bringing new ideas and vision to the field.</p>
