<p>As a pioneer in mobile technology, 5G research and development has been an area of special focus for InterDigital and its subsidiary, InterDigital Europe. In addition to 5G R&amp;D, InterDigital Europe is focused on partner collaboration in Horizon 2020 (H2020) and other initiatives. The company&rsquo;s mission to drive future technologies and foster collaborations can be seen&nbsp;<a href="http://ir.interdigital.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=900680">in the company&rsquo;s key roles in H2020 projects</a> such as POINT (i<strong>P O</strong>ver <strong>I</strong>c<strong>N</strong> the bet<strong>T</strong>er IP) and RIFE (a<strong>R</strong>chitecture for an <strong>I</strong>nternet <strong>F</strong>or <strong>E</strong>verybody) along with its most recent milestone 5GPPP win.</p>
<p>Wireless Magazine, a publication that targets the UK Wireless sector, published an article yesterday that highlights <a href="http://ir.interdigital.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=903025">InterDigital Europe&rsquo;s milestone 5GPPP win for project XHAUL</a>. In the article, editor James Atkinson underscores our experience in the space along with our involvement in this exciting project. The objective of project XHAUL is to develop a 5G integrated backhaul and fronthaul transport network to flexibly and dynamically interconnect the 5G radio access and core network functions. &nbsp;</p>
