On one hand, the United Nation’s (UN) 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all of its 195 member states in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for long-term peace and prosperity around the world. On the other hand, extreme flooding, droughts, and hurricanes continue to showcase the devastating effects of global warming and the subsequent climate change.
